Cost-effective Optima L canopy range is launched by Armstrong Ceilings

Share

In line with the trend for exposed soffits, a designer canopy system that combines excellent acoustics and light reflectance with cost-effectiveness has been launched by leading interior solutions provider Armstrong Ceilings.

The Optima L Canopy range has also been enhanced with the addition of two circular options (800mm and 1200mm) to complement one square (1200mm x 1200mm) and a small (900mm x 1800mm) and a large (2400mm x 1200mm) rectangular option.

Exceptionally easy and quick to install through “spiral anchors” under plasterboard ceilings, existing grid systems or exposed concrete soffits in either new spaces or existing areas, the 40mm thick mineral panel is white on all six surfaces for continuity of visual.

And because sound is absorbed from both its front and back surfaces, the Optima L Canopy gives greater sound absorption than a continuous ceiling of the same visible surface area, providing between 1.00 and 5.75 sabines of sound absorption per piece, calculated as an average of 500-4000 Hz (EN ISO 354:2003), depending on its size.

Manufactured from 80% recycled content and with 87% light reflectance to minimise reliance on artificial light, the panels are also fire resistant to Euroclass B-s1, d0 and resistant to 90% relative humidity.

This level of performance, combined with their aesthetics, makes them ideal for new-build and refurbishment applications in the commercial, retail, leisure, education and healthcare sectors.
