REHAU SUPPLIES Bespoke Trunking Solution For Healthcare Contract

REHAU has combined its strength in the healthcare sector with its expertise in bespoke customer solutions in a contract for a leading furniture specialist.
REHAU fabricated bespoke corner sections for the COMPACT data cable trunking system which it supplied for attaching direct to the framework of desking units installed in a London based consolidated laboratory company.
The configuration of the desks meant that standard corner sections would have prevented the desks from fitting snugly into the corners of the offices and labs so REHAU designed a new bespoke corner section which overcame the problem.
Tom Hunter, Development Engineer at REHAU responsible for product development, said: “This was an unusual contract in that the trunking was to be fitted by the furniture manufacturer direct to the furniture, so we had to take into account the dimensions of the individual desk units as well as the layout of the rooms where they were to be fitted.
“Because of our in-house design skills and the manufacturing resource we have available at our UK factories, we were able to produce an adapted version of our standard corner section specifically for this project quickly and cost effectively.
“As our reputation for developing bespoke solutions grows, so an increasing number of customers are approaching us with new challenges. They recognise that there is no need to compromise on the finish or timing of an installation with an ill fitting component when REHAU can tailor make a solution to fit virtually any project requirements.”

REHAU does not impose minimum order quantities for its bespoke trunking components and offers short lead times combined with a cost effective pricing structure.
REHAU enjoys a growing reputation in the healthcare sector with recent contracts for large scale hospital installations such as at the new Barts and London hospitals and smaller scale medical centre installations such as at the Churchfields GP surgery in Bromsgrove where anti-microbial cable trunking was fitted throughout.
