As part of a £1m refurbishment of a maternity unit carried out by main contractor E Manton, Yeoman Shield wall and door protection has been supplied and fitted into the new Midwife Led Unit (MLU) at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.
With over 45 years experience, Yeoman Shield has mastered the art of combining tough and effective protection with attractive colour combinations, which are available in a range of 34 colours.
All the Yeoman Shield products installed in the MLU have been supplied in a pleasant Lilac colour which helps to promote a calming and relaxing atmosphere.
The corridors of the unit (including vulnerable corners) are protected from damage caused by pedestrian footfall and traffic (such as trolleys) by Yeoman Shield ‘FalmouthEx’ wall sheet along with 200mm Protection Rail and Strip.
Doors, which can easily succumb to unsightly ‘knocks and bumps’ have been fitted with door frame protection and kickplates, whilst side ward doors have been covered with half height frame protection.
Lyndsay Durkin, midwifery led unit manager, said: “We are delighted with the way the unit looks and having Yeoman Shield fitted has given us an attractive finish which will help us to keep it looking pristine for many years to come.”
