Carpet Recycling UK will host a two-day LIVE conference on 29 and 30^th June in Solihull at the voco St Johns Hotel.

Carpet Recycling UK is an independent non-profit membership association collaborating with companies across the supply chain for textile flooring.  We help foster strategic collaborations and networks to develop viable solutions for carpet and other textile flooring waste.

We are witnessing a progressive change in attitudes towards more circular and sustainable solutions as well as end of life treatments for textile flooring from key decision makers throughout the sector. Several manufacturers are engaging with us to discuss how they can make a difference ahead of any forthcoming legislative/extended producer responsibility changes.

With core funding from flooring manufacturers Balsan, Betap, Brintons, Cormar, Tarkett, ege, Headlam, Milliken and Shaw, our network spans the carpet supply chain and waste recovery sector.

This allows our members and network to take advantage of emerging opportunities in reuse and recycling including sustainable raw materials for manufacture and identifying suitable outlets nationwide and innovations in material design and processing.

More developers are requesting that projects incorporate sustainable flooring which can include repurposed commercial carpet tiles, as well as specifying products made with recycled content or designed with take back and recycling in mind.

Through Carpet Recycling UK, manufacturers, designers and architects are helping their clients to segregate their fitting and uplifted wastes, saving on costs and resources.
