Hansgrohe’s concealed thermostat ShowerSelect wins the Design Plus Award and the ZVSHK “Bathroom Comfort for Generations” Product Award.
ShowerSelect, the new concealed thermostat from bathroom and sanitation specialist Hansgrohe SE convinced two judging panels. The smart solution for the iBox universal installation unit won both the Design Plus Award and the “Bathroom Comfort for Generations” Product Award organised by the German Central Association for Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning (ZVSHK) at the ISH sanitary trade fair, which took place between 12th to 16th March in Frankfurt am Main.
With these ShowerSelect concealed thermostats, Hansgrohe’s product developers have revolutionised the concealed installation market by introducing the Select button, in the form of a smart iBox solution. The basis of this concept is an innovative shut-off valve, which means that the water flow is no longer turned on and off by rotating, but at the simple touch of a button.
Aesthetic design, user-friendliness and cross-generational product features to accommodate everyone’s needs, including those with disabilities, were deemed by the jury to be key advantages of the system. “We are really delighted with both these awards. They endorse our conception of innovative quality and acknowledge our approach of creating added value, in terms of convenience and functionality, for every bathroom user”, said Richard Grohe, Deputy CEO of Hansgrohe SE, during the trade fair in Frankfurt.
