About Ceramic Art in Architecture Regina Heinz

Ceramic Art Regina Heinz is a London based ceramic art practice specialising in architectural ceramics and unique feature walls for luxurious spaces. Beautifully crafted three-dimensional modules are combined and repeated in different ways to create site-specific ceramic art installations for public spaces and domestic settings alike.

Water is the inspiration for Regina’s architectural ceramics collection: prompted by the sunlit, ever-changing surfaces of lakes, rivers and seas, Regina has designed a slim and elegant undulating tile shape. The modules are available in size 21 x 16 x 3 cm, other sizes and/or shapes can be created for special projects.

Since its inception in 2012 with the American tile retailer Ann Sacks, the collection has been continually expanded and now comprises matte and high-gloss glazes, luxurious bronze, gold and platinum surfaces and ceramic transfers for a personalised design.

Each installation is unique, carefully designed in dialogue with the client. Dimensions, colours and designs are site-specific and take into account the surrounding space.

A contemporary take on the ancient traditions of architectural adornment: mosaics, friezes and frescos, these sensual and tactile sculptural wall installations complement their setting while retaining their own artistic identity. Fluid forms combined with rich ceramic glazes animate spaces with rippling patterns of light and shadow.

Regina has worked with internationally with leading interior architects and art consultants to create feature walls and sculptural artworks for hotels, foyers, yachts and cruise ships.

Clients include P&O (cabin artwork for 2000 cabins of the P&O cruise ship Britannia), Areen Design, Collett Zarzycki, 1508 London (private spaces), Alchemi Group, Stiff + Trevillion Architects (foyers), Muza Lab London, HBA Shanghai, SMC Art Consultancy London, Visto Art Consultancy Cyprus, Soho Myriad Atlanta USA, Goddard Littlefair London, Winch Design London ( hotels and cruiseships).

Her work is held in museum collections around the world.
