Fires and Surrounds Ltd have launched a brand new and exclusive bespoke service for their customers.

Always searching for innovation and looking to offer something that is one step better than the competition, this Yorkshire based company has continuously grown in an ultra-competitive market.

This latest offering allows customers to have a wooden fire surround made uniquely theirs by having it painted to one of the hundreds of British Standard Colours available. They have developed a paint selector service on their website, so it is possible to pick a paint colour from your local DIY store and then have your fire surround painted in that exact colour.

Shaun Casey, MD, says, “We developed this bespoke option in response to requests from our customers who were wanting to buy wooden surrounds in colours that matched paint from companies such as Farrow and Ball. Up until recently, the only way to do this was for us to supply the surround with a base coat only, and then customers to finish them by hand at home. While this is fine, it is not possible to achieve the same quality finish with a paintbrush as we can in our state-of-the-art spray booths; all of our surrounds go through a 4 stage painting process to give them a smooth, durable and long-lasting finish.

Since launching, we have also found this service to be popular with interior designers, who enjoy the hassle free and unique options it gives them and their customers.”

Fires and Surrounds Ltd, have for a long time had the option for customers to specify the dimensions of their fire surrounds with a ‘Made to Measure’ service. Customers can alter their mantlepiece to fit specific spaces or to fit around fireplace openings. For those customers with open fires, stoves or high-efficiency gas fires there is also an option to upgrade for high heat output and stop their wooden surrounds warping or peeling.
