One of our long-term clients is Mark Shattuck, a seasoned architect and CEO of the Dream Home studio in the US. Having worked together on many successful projects, he approached us once again to create photorealistic CGI for his latest concept: a luxury classic mansion with an expansive garden. The architect planned to use the resulting 3D visuals in a PR article and social media marketing.
After discussing the project goals, we decided to create not just static images but also a 3D animation—a captivating computer-generated video. This would allow our client to showcase his stunning design in the most informative and engaging way. Since Mark planned to use these visuals in a promotional campaign, this approach was the perfect fit.
The brief for the task included architectural design drawings, site and landscaping plans, reference images for the overall style, materials, outdoor furniture, and plants, as well as drone video footage of the location.
The footage was needed for using a cutting-edge 3D visualization technique—camera tracking, where real-life video of the site is seamlessly combined with a realistic 3D model of the planned building. This technique allowed our client to save on the costs and time needed to create the animation.
