Beko built-in: The finishing touch for Bournemouth development

Share

A prime example of design, sustainability, energy efficiency and a high standard of contemporary living combining to make a big impact is Central Park – a complex of 30 two-bedroom and six one-bedroom apartments, near Bournemouth’s city centre.

A ‘natural oasis in the heart of the city’, all apartments in this seven-storey building overlook Bournemouth’s famous Upper Gardens.

Beko’s built-in range of kitchen appliances has been specified by SDA Distributors for this prestigious private residential development, built by award-winning Roxan Construction.

Having previously worked together, the Beko-SDA-Roxan project partnership made sound commercial, logistical sense.

Central Park officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the local MP, owner, project partners, estate agent, and those involved with the building work.

Design alongside sustainability
Roxan Construction was determined to deliver design, sustainability, energy efficiency, plus a high standard of contemporary living in an appealing park-side setting.

Therefore, the luxury apartments are finished to the highest specification, with Beko’s built-in range chosen to bring style, performance and energy efficiency to the modern kitchen design.

The local residential-led property developer creates sustainable homes focused on customers’ needs and aspirations. Emphasis is on innovative design and build, which meets practical requirements, while reflecting the newest technology and styles.

The company’s projects promote a more sustainable ‘greener’ lifestyle, reducing the carbon footprint, preserving the environment for future generations. Roxan’s target is to deliver Code Level 4 of Sustainable Homes (from 2012) and Code Level 6 from 2016. The plan is to build and fit homes to a standard surpassing building regulations.

Roxan has also achieved a 20% reduction in total water consumption on 40% of its projects. Beko’s washer-dryer and dishwasher – with their water-saving, energy-saving properties – were the logical choice to support this target.

Built-in appliances bring style
At Central Park, each kitchen features a Beko four-burner gas hob and double built-under fan oven – in stylish stainless steel complementing the kitchen’s design – and integrated frost-free fridge freezer, washer dryer and full-size dishwasher.
These appliances were specified for their streamlined styling, high performance, energy-saving technology – a significant factor appealing to today’s discerning, aspirational homebuyers.

Beko: keeping its standards high
Matthew Jones, Beko’s senior marketing manager, responsible for the company’s domestic appliances comments:

“Given today’s increasingly stringent energy regulations, Beko works closely with builders and distributors such as Roxan and SDA to comply with the latest EU standards for domestic appliances. By providing the quality, performance, design, affordability and energy efficiency that today’s industry demands, Beko is well placed to meet the ongoing challenge for ever more energy-efficient domestic appliances. We continue to work with the housebuilding industry to provide the best appliance solutions at the most economical price for each project.”
