Bilco shares information online

Leading roof access products manufacturer Bilco has launched a new website, www.bilcouk.com, which provides a library of useful information for architects and specifiers when selecting roof hatches, smoke vents and floor doors. The new site carries vital Building Information Modelling (BIM) information and full CAD drawings for most of Bilco’s products.

For most Bilco products it also provides links to NBS Building specifications, which give detailed information on the individual product which can c be used in place of generic information for a more accurate project specification. Product pages also carry case studies, installation instructions, product data sheets and submittal drawings, all available for download from the relevant product page. The complete catalogue of Bilco’s product range can also be downloaded directly from the new site.

“Getting the specification right first time has never been more important, thanks to the increase in regulations, not least the introduction of CE marking on natural smoke and heat exhaust vents,” says James Fisher, general manager for Bilco. “Our aim is to assist the specifier to identify the correct product for their needs from the outset of the project. To that end we’ve put as much information as possible on the new website in order that specifiers can make the most informed and appropriate decisions when selecting access solutions. Should specifiers need any further assistance with a more complex project, our technical department can give valuable advice. ”

Bilco’s full ladder range is also outlined on the site; these also have NBS specifications, CAD drawings, product data sheets and submittal drawings to assist specifiers to identify the most appropriate fixed and retractable ladders to use with horizontal access products.
