There have been many casualties of the economic crisis in Ireland, and with the economy starting to grow and the country set to exit the €85bn international bailout programme it entered three years ago, it’s good to hear that it has not been bad news for all businesses – as the fortune of Click Litehouse testifies.
One of Ireland’s leading wiring accessories and lighting manufacturers, Click Litehouse has been enjoying steady growth in recent years and has just moved its operational headquarters from Newtownmountkennedy in Wicklow to a prime position within Dublin’s largest industrial estate in Sandyford. Tripling the size of its premises and recruiting new sales and warehouse staff have been necessary steps for the company to help service a growing product portfolio and expanding customer base.
Supplying the electrical wholesale trade with a comprehensive range of electrical accessories and lighting products from under one roof, the ability to provide next day delivery with no minimum order requirement, plus stock holding of all products, have been key to helping the business stay one step ahead in a highly competitive market.
Listening to what customers need and providing solutions that provide them with the most up-to-date products that are both cost effective and quick and easy to install, has, according to managing director, Paul Flynn, also played a crucial role in the continued success of the business.
New product development is the lifeblood of the industry and with the help of a specialist sales force and dedicated technical support team Click Litehouse continues to bring the latest technologies to market. New product additions are being introduced across all divisions of the business. The innovative Inceptor Integrated LED Downlight has been added to the lighting collection and provides installers with a high light output, high performance product that can be fitted into the shallowest of ceiling voids (60mm). The wiring accessories portfolio now includes the Aquip66 range of waterproof boxes which is designed to offer a high level of protection against ingress of water jets and dust.
Also in the pipeline is a range of Click Litehouse branded LED lamps, and the company has recently been appointed as distributors for the Elnur range of heating appliances, which takes the business into new product categories.
Work is currently underway at the Dublin headquarters to put the finishing touches to a new show room which, at 20m x 10m, will provide a stunning platform to showcase the company’s growing product ranges, as well as acting as a meeting and training facility.
