Forescolor is a high performant, coloured throughout wood fibre board. An innovation from the traditional MDF, presenting several colours and textures, with improved properties, up to 25% more performant than standard MDF, combining aesthetics, durability, and versatility for any project.
Already widely used across Europe, it is now fully available in the UK throughout our distribution network.
Forescolor is available in several thicknesses from 5mm up to 19mm, in 9 different colours and 4 textures.
What makes Forescolor different?
Forescolor is the enhancement of coloured MDF, more performant, looking better, more compact but still easy to process and to handle.
Forescolor is coloured throughout using organic dyes and certified pine fibres, which goes under a detailed cleaning and purifying process in order to offer more accurate colours, still with a natural touch.
Forescolor presents slightly higher density, where the greater difference is in the core. Its density profile is much more homogeneous all the way through, making the core more compact and smoother, allowing it to be routed to an high level of detail without losing capacity and resistance
These features make it stronger, more stable and less absorbent than conventional coloured MDF. It is by standard moisture resistant.
Additionally, it brings many benefits for the finishing process, as it is easier to achieve a better good-looking surface, because is less absorbent and due to the density in core, there’s no need of edge bending. Forescolor can be finishing with a wide variety of varnishes, oils and waxes.
Forescolor is certified E05 and CARB ULEF (Ultra Low Formaldehyde Emissions) on its standard range.
In conclusion, the support and decoration all in one, being the most performant and compact panel for interior design, still in a light “easy to work with”, material.
New: Acoustic panels with design freedom
For all the features described above, Forescolor is also ideal for acoustic solutions.
Forescolor presents several routed and perforated panels for acoustic systems and has now available the new Forescolor Silent Collection. An innovation surface treatment that brings sound absorption performance, without changing the surface.
This new collection presents micro-perforated panels, allowing it to be sound absorbent with no visible wholes. This solution provides effective sound absorption (Class B, aw 0.80), while maintaining all the decorative benefits of the original product.
The new acoustic range uses the same original coloured throughout core of Forescolor with all its standard features and benefits. The Silent Collection can also be offered with clear finishing, wood veneer or even with customized digital printing. A very flexible acoustic solution ideal for commercial spaces, hospitality, educational facilities, and spaces that require both acoustic performance and aesthetic impact.
