Wood is leading the way as the finest material to deliver sustainable design across a huge range of projects and products. Find out why at a special day hosted by EDGE – London’s new sustainable construction and design showroom and sponsored by PEFC UK and James Latham.

Participants will be hear from companies and individuals helping to create a better built environment by using renewable, recyclable and responsibly sourced wood.

Net Zero Design and the Circular Economy

Introduced by Professor Alex de Rijke, Director at Stirling Prize winning architects dRMM, the day will feature prominent exponents of timber design and delivery explaining how they are using ‘wood for good’ and as a first-choice material in a bid to achieve net zero carbon targets. Projects range from delivering striking timber buildings such as London’s Black and White Building, to specifying wood flooring and carbon neutral kitchens from Finland’s number one brand.

The morning sessions will primarily focus on using timber to reduce embodied carbon, while the afternoon sessions will focus on how timber can help deliver a circular economy.

Those joining will gain a better understanding of why legal and sustainable wood is the right choice for healthier, cleaner, low carbon living.
