Glazing Vision

Share

Glazing Vision, a premium UK manufacturer of architectural rooflights, has launched the Conservation Pitchglaze Roof Window – a fixed, in-plane glazing solution designed specifically for pitched roofs in conservation areas, listed buildings, and other planning-sensitive contexts. Developed for heritage-led projects, it enables the introduction of natural daylight while preserving the architectural integrity of the existing structure.

The system sits flush within the roof plane, maintaining uninterrupted rooflines and minimising external visibility – a key consideration for applications subject to strict planning control. Its low-profile design is often favoured by planning authorities for its discreet integration into historic fabric.

Framing is formed from aluminium and finished in RAL 9005 Jet Black or 9015 Slate Grey, with detailing that references traditional cast-iron roof glazing typical of Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Central mullein bars support alignment with historic proportions and surrounding roof elements.

Available in portrait and landscape orientations, the system accommodates roof pitches from 15° to 85°, offering flexibility across a broad range of retrofit and refurbishment scenarios.

Manufactured in the UK, the Conservation Pitchglaze Roof Window is UKCA and CE marked, providing architects with a robust, compliant solution that carefully balances heritage sensitivity with contemporary performance.
