Green energy specialist Stiebel Eltron launches free mobile app

Share

Wirral based green energy manufacturer Stiebel Eltron UK has launched a new app to give architects, consultants and installers access to its full library of products and services.

The Stiebel Eltron MediaApp is free to download from the iTunes store and has been designed as a quick and easy to use tool to browse through a library of Stiebel Eltron UK’s brochures and catalogues.

This includes Stiebel Eltron’s full range of renewable energy systems such as Ground and Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal and Solar PV, as well as water heating, air conditioning and central heating products.

Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK Managing Director, said the app will allow clients and potential customers to quickly find product and technical information, with practical functions and an easy-to-navigate interface.

“At Stiebel Eltron UK we understand that customers want information to be ready to hand and easily accessible. With many people in the building and construction design industry harnessing mobile technology, an app is a great opportunity to reach clients who are out of the office, in meetings or regularly on site – particularly in areas with little or no internet access.

“The Stiebel Eltron MediaApp contains a comprehensive library of our brochures and catalogues which we will be able to update instantly with new products and services. Stiebel Eltron is committed to innovation, research and development – this new app is further demonstration that we are a progressive company which understands the needs of our customers.”

Key functions on the Stiebel Eltron MediaApp include a keyword search, table of contents, thumbnail view, zoom and the setting of individual bookmarks. The page-turning effect allows one to select between a double-page or single-page view. To access specific information offline, users can simply download the relevant documentations from the online library.

Mr McManus added: “With the RHI domestic tariff announced in the summer, the renewable energy industry is readying itself for a welcome increase in demand for products such as ground and air source heat pumps. Through using digital technology such as apps we are able to communicate with a forward-thinking marketplace, which we believe could be more prepared to embrace modern renewable technologies.”
