In particular, the Intastop Door Top Alarm which has been developed to prevent attempted suicide from the tops of doors in mental health wards and establishments. Its discrete design is such that the issues faced by estate and project managers previously, such as, using a sloped door top or a curtain which in turn presents other issues such as privacy and health and safety, are now eradicated.
Additional to this, the new Finger Safety Hinges will be on show. They provide permanent protection against finger trapping on the vulnerable hinge side of the door. This solution is ideal for child care, educational and healthcare facilities where protection of occupants is paramount. The hinges are designed for double and single swing doors, which is fire tested to European Standard EN1634-12000, and help eliminate the possibility of doors splitting on impact.
Sarah Barsby, Marketing Manager for Intastop commented: “We are a company dedicated to providing products that offer huge benefits to the healthcare and associated industries. Exhibitions such as Healthcare Estates give us a great opportunity to directly speak with our customers and potential customers about their own building’s requirements which has, in some cases, resulted in the development of new innovative products such as the Door Top Alarm. There’s nothing better than being presented with a problem and providing the solution!”

The exhibition aims to help visitors solve everyday problems, and develop long-term strategies to create efficient, clean, safe and sustainable environments.
