The range of NikolaTesla induction and gas hobs, each with fully integrated extraction systems, brings technology and minimalist style into the heart of the kitchen.
NikolaTesla FIT is the first induction hob with integrated extraction that can be installed in a standard base unit. There are two widths of hob 60cm and 72cm, but both fit in a standard 60cm base. The elegant design fits flush with the work surface and the slim extraction inlet allows maximum flexibility for pan sizes. FIT’s powerful motor creates a rapid air speed of up to 5m/s which ensures fume and odour capture. In the recirculating version Elica’s high performance ceramic filters ensure up to 80% efficiency compared to an industry norm of 60%. They can be regenerated in the oven for up to five years which is both a welcome economy and good for the environment.
The innovative Autocapture function lets you focus on cooking, with the suction power set according to what you are cooking, giving the best balance between silence, extraction effectiveness and efficiency. The completely flat glass surface makes cleaning extremely easy, and all filters are safely and immediately accessible – there is even an outlet to quickly drain anything from minor to major spillages.
The range also includes the elegant and iconic NikolaTesla SWITCH, available in black with cast iron accents and white glass with polished chrome trim. The central fan, perfectly integrated into the cooktop, guarantees high performance in terms of fume capture, silence, and energy efficiency. It is powerful, capturing fumes and odours in record time, with a suction power of 620 m³/h and a fume capturing speed of 5.1 m/s. It is also silent, meaning you can enjoy relaxed conversation even while you are cooking. Noise level at maximum power is only 60 dB (A), well below any intrusive acoustic threshold.
NikolaTesla SWITCH has five direct slider controls that let you adjust the cooking zones and suction with a simple gesture. It also comes with Elica’s Intelligent System technology, which can automatically decrease the suction power as the odours and fumes are eliminated. Its smart sensor technology can recognise fume quality and type of cooking. It is completely automatic and able to set by itself the most suitable extraction power. Cleaning has also never been so simple. Users simply remove the centrally located grease filter, clean in a dishwasher, then wipe clean the interior. A conveniently located valve allows the easy draining of any significant spillages. NikolaTesla SWITCH is available in both re-circulating and duct-out versions. In the duct out version, cooking vapours are conveyed to the outside by means of ducting installed under the furniture plinths – minimum plinth height is only 100mm. In the recycling version, it is equipped with everything you are likely to need for installation, including the exclusive chrome-plated profile that finishes the cut-out in the plinth for the air outlet.
NikolaTesla LIBRA is the first extractor hob with integrated weighing scales. Key USPs include the ability to weigh ingredients right at the place you are cooking and, being heat resistant, the ability to weigh directly into a hot pan.
The integrated scales make following a recipe simpler and faster. At any time in the cooking process, whether it’s hot or cold, put a pot and its contents on the scales, touch Reset Weight, start adding the next ingredient and see how much you are adding on the display.
The NikolaTesla LIBRA is extremely intuitive to use thanks to touch controls for both cooking and extraction. The weighing scales can also be used independently of the hob so removing the need for a separate set of scales. Simply rest the pot on top to turn it on.
A “Bridge” function enables users to join adjacent cooking zones to provide consistent cooking even with very large cooking pots. The ‘Stop & Go’ function means that if users need to leave the kitchen when cooking, they can switch off all cooking zones and be assured of safety while away.
NikolaTesla LIBRA is available in both duct-out and recycling versions with a maximum airflow of up to 610 m³/h and, of particular importance for this type of extractor, a maximum air speed of 5.1 m/s. The recirculating version comes with the new Revolution Filter which can achieve filtering efficiency of 82% against the market average of just 60%. It can be regenerated for up to three years.
NikolaTesla FLAME is the first hob to combine integrated extraction with gas cooking. Incorporating four burners with a range of outputs for all pan sizes, cast iron pan supports and electronic ignition and extraction control, FLAME enables users to enjoy the best that gas cooking can offer with powerful integrated extraction. FLAME is available in black or grey glass. All this without renouncing on best extraction performance and the elimination of fumes and odours, which only Elica hoods can guarantee.
It also comes with a multi-purpose Wok support. By positioning the Wok support above the suction inlet, the fume extraction speed is improved for more intense cooking. All components in cast iron are removable and can be washed in the dishwasher. The ceramic glass hob simplifies daily cleaning operations.
It is available in Duct-out or Re-circulating versions and finished in either black glass + cast iron or grey glass + cast iron.
