KI – UniteSE is evolving at 100% Design 18 – 21 September Stand Number 0320

KI will be launching Cornerstone, a new acoustic stacking screen system designed by Craig Jones, at 100% design on stand number 0320. This enables a complete system including the breakout areas to be within the same footprint. It is designed to provide a natural extension and integrate with the UniteSE workplace collection and other manufacturers furniture systems. Also featured will be the Red Dot Winning Faveo 24/7 task chair and Opt4 Seating range.
The design brief for Cornerstone was to create a physical link between workstation, storage, and screening, providing a natural progression into the Third space. The design concept is to offer integration and continuation of working areas rather than creating separate product groups. Providing flexibility for expansion and contraction in existing and new areas of workflow are fundamental to the screens design. Another feature high on the design objective is the acoustic element. The use of acoustic materials with the option of an internal or external solution is considered valuable to the user and specifiers allowing flexibility in colour, texture, functionality and budget.
The UniteSE workplace collection unites Workstations with height adjustable benches, which allow for flexible working whilst offering a range of options that can be tailored to specific modern day workplace requirements. The understructure of the UniteSE Workstation range provides a sturdy modular platform for the addition of multiple worksurface and screen options. A clever bracketry system discreetly connects the elements to providing distinctive personalised options.
The UniteSE storage collection combines a simple clean design with a well engineered, highly robust & flexible construction. The series has now expanded to include new stacking storage modules to provide an open plan architecture. These combined with personal storage solutions, such as the SpaceStation, which received a Design Guild Mark award this year, create a versatile workstation system.
Also on display will be KI’s Opt4 chair, designed by Taku Kumazawa, which has received a Red Dot Design Award, it is an easy to carry, stack and easy-to-move chair. All the plastic parts and mesh are made from 100% recycled material. The mesh weighs in at 3.3kg and makes it the lightest high density stackable chair available. It offers maximum comfort with a waterfall front seat edge that eases pressure points. The mesh seat and back offers ventilation as well as a supple seating surface that conforms to the body shape for tailored comfort. The Opt4 chair has also been teamed up with a new single column table with wire management through the column to bring up to meeting level height.
KI’s Faveo, 24/7 task chair, designed by Paul Brooks will also be exhibited. In addition to its Red Dot Award, Faveo’s Certificate of Ergonomic Excellence ensures that it provides an attractive and inviting seating solution. The Gabriel Runner fabric mesh back comes in multiple colour options and ensures optimum ergonomic comfort, whilst the seat can be upholstered in any fabric. Instant adjustment is delivered to the user by simple easy touch controls with seat height and tension adjustment integrated on one side and the forward tilt and recline lock on the other.
KI will be exhibiting all products featured in this press release at 100% Design. All KI seating products meet the more stringent requirements of Indoor Advantage Gold (from SCS Global Services). KI’s products are designed locally and manufactured in factories within the UK, providing the benefit of rapid lead times, fit for purpose, design and excellent value.
