Hurst was established in 1969 by Norman Hurst and is a recognized leader in bespoke joinery with the company still being family run today.

Hurst has its own dedicated production facility in West Yorkshire extending to over 70,000 sq. ft. including in-house polishing shop, dedicated CAD and setting out department and facilities for veneer cutting, stitching and pressing. Hurst also has the capability to manufacture intricate curved fabrications and is an Approved and Certified Fabricator for solid surface materials including Corian, Wilsonart, Staron, HIMACS, Formica and Hanex.

With a highly skilled, experienced and dedicated team Hurst manufactures and installs bespoke and batch joinery to direct clients and main contractors across the UK with a particular focus on the London region. Hurst have a proven track record of consistently delivering high quality joinery solutions for a number of major London contractors in the commercial, education, leisure and healthcare sectors.

High Performance Doors and Door sets

Hurst can also supply high performance doors and door sets through our specialist Door Division ‘Aynsley Doors’. All doors are manufactured to the highest standards of craftsmanship, materials and finish and are available in paint, laminate or natural veneer finishes. Aynsley Doors is independently audited through the BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Door Scheme and holds chain of custody certification.

Alphabeta Building – Central London

This project within the landmark Alphabeta building (London’s first cycle-in office!) featured a number of large communication walls incorporating AV screens, white boards display niches and lockers.

Harrow Library – University of Westminster

As part of the recent transformation of Harrow Library, Hurst manufactured and installed a range of joinery items including study pods, private study tables, high bench tables and reading lounge benches.

Salesian House – Battersea

The new community house for the Salesians of Don Bosco features oak acoustic panels, wall panelling, new reception point and library book cases all manufactured and installed by Hurst.

Sea Containers House – Central London

This oak slatted ceiling and wall feature manufactured and installed by Hurst creates a stunning first impression in the lobby area of Sea Containers House on the banks of the River Thames. This is complemented by five wavy oak panelling walls and stainless steel and oak slats also feature on the staircase balustrade.

Walkie Talkie Building – Central London

This project on the 29th floor of the Walkie Talkie building included a stunning bowl shaped reception desk in American oak veneer, visitor and staff lounge bars with striking black and white tiling, oak veneered boardroom credenza unit and staff quiet booths.
