The new look will appeal to all decision makers and users of roofing products looking for the appearance of a natural slate, with the installation and performance benefits of a fibre cement slate.

Developed at its European factory, the new look will be introduced in January 2014. This development is an example of the incremental improvement which is a key part of Cembrit’s innovation strategy.

“The high quality to which our fibre cement slates are manufactured is something we are extremely proud of,” says Ged Ferris, Marketing Manager at Cembrit. “The improved texture on both Westerland and Zeeland will increase the appeal of the products to architects and specifiers looking for a premium fibre cement slate. The revamped Westerland and Zeeland now sit alongside our cost-effective Jutland and Moorland ranges to offer a slate for every type project of and budget.”

Cembrit fibre cement slates are guaranteed, the slates are more authentic than concrete tiles and available in a range of colours.

The slates are complemented by matching ridge, ventilation and fixings. Manufactured to the highest European standards using Portland cement together with a formulation of superior blended synthetic and cellulose fibres, Cembrit fibre cement slates are finished with a high quality, semi-matt acrylic coloured coating to the face and edges and a tinted, high performance binder to the back face.
