ROCKWOOL set to showcase its latest fire protection solutions at FIREX 2023

Share

ROCKWOOL®, one of the UK’s leading insulation manufacturers, will be showcasing its latest fire protection solutions at this year’s FIREX (16th to 18th May). On stand FI. 1640, the company will be launching a new product, SP FireStop EN, and previewing the FirePro Detail Designer, a new tool designed to help specifiers and fire engineers access the correct ROCKWOOL standard details for their project.

Expanding on the existing FirePro® range, SP FireStop EN is a linear cavity fire stopping product with a new high emissivity black foil facing. SP FireStop EN expands the scope of application available from ROCKWOOL, delivering EI120 performance for cavities up to 600mm*, and has been tested specifically against Steel Frame Substrates.

During FIREX, ROCKWOOL will be inviting attendees to provide feedback on its upcoming FirePro Detail Designer – an interactive design tool currently in development. This application is being developed to assist specifiers and fire engineers in selecting the most suitable ROCKWOOL FirePro products for their requirements. The app will help users access the correct ROCKWOOL standard details by processing their project requirements and returning a chosen specification based on an existing, tested standard detail – streamlining the manual process of reviewing ROCKWOOL standard details.

“FIREX is the ideal opportunity to showcase our latest passive fire protection solutions,” said Paul Barrett, Head of Product Management at ROCKWOOL UK. “Our focus is always on investing in product development and improving our existing product portfolio. Our new SP FireStop EN is an enhancement of our existing fire stopping product, with higher emissivity for suitability on a wider range of applications.”

Visitors to the ROCKWOOL stand will see the new SP FireStop EN product in person, alongside other FirePro fire stopping solutions as part of real wall build-ups. Technical support from ROCKWOOL passive fire protection experts will be readily available for customers who have questions or require assistance. Additionally, visitors can request Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions to gain further knowledge about the products and their applications.
