Sustainability key to the Hunter Douglas solution for flagship redevelopment

Share

The multi-million pound redevelopment of a landmark building in London’s legal district offered Hunter Douglas the opportunity to create an innovative solution not previously seen anywhere in Europe.

The modernisation of the Rolls and Arnold Houses in Chancery Lane, saw Hunter Douglas create a solution that provides optimum shade and privacy, whilst also meeting strict sustainability requirements to ensure an excellent BREEAM rating.

Hunter Douglas provided an EOS Type 5-70 system, using the newly developed EOS 500 Roller system for the first time ever in Europe with a mix of 105 motorised and 560 manually operated blinds. The fabric chosen was Greenscreen ECO with three per cent openness, this recyclable fabric was the perfect choice to satisfy the building’s sustainability credentials.
