TAS Stocks Cembrit Corrugated Sheets

Share

Cembrit, the corrugated sheet specialist, has developed a new relationship with TAS Building Supplies, located in Castle Douglas, Scotland. This affiliation sees TAS stocking Cembrit’s Cemsix and B5 corrugated sheets, providing local roofing contractors and builders with easy access to these fibre cement products.

The family run, independent building supplier started operating its corrugated sheet and cladding department late last year and now supplies fibre cement sheets to an average of four or five projects a month. TAS was looking for a manufacturer who provides cost effective and high quality corrugated sheets. It was for this reason, that the supplier made the decision to stock Cembrit products. Ensuring it meets the demands of its customers, TAS stocks around 50 tonne’s/11’000 linear feet of Cembrit’s corrugated sheets at its Station Yard Depot in Castle Douglas.

“We have already supplied Cembrit products to around 25 projects” said Malcolm Smith of TAS Building Supplies. “We have had a great response from our customers, with some saying that they will continue to work with Cembrit products in future as the sheets are extremely sturdy, making them easier to work with than other corrugated fibre cement sheets. The positive feedback proves that we made the correct decision in teaming up with Cembrit and look forward to a prosperous relationship going forward.”

Cemsix sheets are ideal for agricultural, commercial and industrial buildings, robust and practical requiring no maintenance to preserve its strength. The durable and weatherproof sheets are not affected by destructive fungi, vermin or insects, so will not rot or decay; and are available in natural grey, matt black and ten attractive pre-coloured options. Offered in a standard imperial 6 inch profile it is strengthened with strategically placed polypropylene reinforcement strips. These are incorporated within the fibre-cement sheet to comply with BS and H&S requirements for site safety and fragility.

B5 is the perfect solution for single-story buildings such as stables and garages. The rust and rot free sheet can be used to a lower pitch and with smaller overlaps in comparison to the traditional 3 inch profile. B5 is available in fourteen different lengths ranging from 4′ to 10′ 6″ and the sheets are approximately 40% wider which allows for much better coverage per sheet, and an improved water shedding capacity. The brochure also gives background advice on fixing and pre-drilling, as well as some examples of case studies of B5 in action.
