The Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre/Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre , Fife

Kährs and Reflex Sports flooring has been installed throughout two leisure complexes in Fife. They include a new £18M regional sports academy in Glenrothes – The Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre – and Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre. Both centres were designed and developed in collaboration between B3 Architects/Cre8 Architecture and all wood flooring was installed at both sites by Reflex Sports for main contractor, GRAHAM Construction.

Located on the former site of Fife Institute, The Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre provides competition standard facilities for community use, including extensive swimming, dryside and outdoor amenities. Wood flooring specified included Kährs Multisport Maple throughout the main sports hall, Kährs Activity Maple in the main studio, Reflex PRO-SQUASH Maple in the squash courts and Reflex PU Sports surfaces in the centre’s multi-purpose rooms.

Nearby, Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre includes swimming facilities, along with a 70-station gym, dryside amenities including a purpose-built fitness studio and four-court sports hall, as well as a multi-activity children’s play centre. Kährs Multisport Maple was also specified at this second location, along with Kährs Multisport Beech.
