The Residence Collection & HWL Windows win Commercial Project of the Year at the G23 Awards

28th November 2023: Premium window and door designer, The Residence Collection, and window fabricator HWL Windows have been announced as the winners of the Commercial Project of the Year at this year’s G23 Awards.

This is the second time The Residence Collection has won Commercial Project of the Year since 2021 and this year’s success is Old Beech Farm, a luxury development in a conservation area of Woolley, near Wakefield.

The recognition of this project as the Commercial Project of the Year underscores its successful collaboration with long-standing fabricator HWL Windows and an independent housebuilder, Linfit Developments, on the bespoke development within a conservation area.

Old Beech Farm, the project of six unique homes, saw the installation of Residence 9 timber alternative windows that were Part L compliant with a 1.2W/m2k u-value. As part of the project, HWL Windows supplied the windows glazed with Georgian bars pre-fitted, however to allow flexibility they supplied the bars in kit form, so the developers had the flexibility to source glass locally.

Installing over 200 Painswick Residence 9 windows this project seamlessly integrated contemporary performance with heritage aesthetics. These windows, crafted using the Timberweld jointing method, provide an authentic timber appearance with exceptional strength.

The Residence Collection is a specialist in period properties located in conservation areas with planning authorities approving their windows for use throughout the UK.
