Share

With more than £150 million invested in the University of Lincoln and having the first University of Lincoln building on the Brayford Campus opened by the Queen in 1996, The Times Good University Guide has described it as ‘the most dramatic transformation of a University in recent times.’

Approved by The City of Lincoln Council, the University of Lincoln aims to undertake major redevelopment around the Brayford campus over the next decade. Designed by Stem Architects, the masterplan will benefit both the University and the city; extending access between the open campus and High Street for residents, new units will cover a variety of uses, from student accommodation and academic buildings to offices,University of Lincoln (1)_press release restaurants and retail buildings, plus car parking and the potential for a new hotel. The plans have the potential to accommodate up to an estimated 4,500 more students. University of Lincoln spokesman Ian Richards said, “The masterplan sets out a vision for the development of the Brayford Campus over the next decade, so this is a significant milestone for the University.”

With phase 2 of this project now complete, carried out by the brilliant Lindum Group, an exceptional landscape has been created within the Brayford campus with Tobermore’s fabulous Fusion block paving in Silver & Graphite. Established in 1942, Tobermore supply a broad ranging collection of block paving, paving flags, kerbing and walling products to the commercial and private markets throughout the UK and Ireland.

This sparkling colour combination has achieved a truly unique and modern look for the grounds at the widely respected education facility. The paved landscape is undoubtedly one of the key style features of this scheme. Tobermore’s Fusion products create instant sophistication with their natural granite appearance and exposed aggregate surface, and are the ideal accompaniment to a contemporary style commercial build.
