Vectaire Ltd has three models in its vertical whole house heat recovery range – the Midi, Maxi and Maxi Plus – “BY-AT” models – which have been designed to resolve the noise issues in central ventilation systems, keeping sound and air pollution outside. They incorporate integral acoustic attenuation – lined with superior sound deadening materials for really low sound levels – and tested by BRE. Installation is easy – nothing extra is required other than the unit itself.
It’s common knowledge that poor indoor air quality leads to a myriad of health problems, but it’s less well known that noise pollution also affects health and behaviour. Excess noise can cause high stress levels, tinnitus, hypertension, hearing loss, sleep disturbance, a faster decline in cognitive ability, and has an adverse effect on child development
Noise pollution has many sources, both external and internal. Typically, building to high air tightness levels can reduce external noise, but ventilation is necessary to remove pollutants and introduce fresh air. The noise from continuous ventilation systems can be as detrimental as external sources.
Vectaire’s range of “BY-AT” acoustic MVHRs are specifically designed to provide a high-quality atmosphere at the lowest noise level on the market.
They allow windows and doors to remain closed to stop, so far as is possible, both noise and air pollution coming into the home.
They work continually to replace stale air and condensation with fresh, filtered air.
They save energy by minimising heat loss.

Efficiency, performance and economy remain the same as the standard models. Products are SAP PCDB Listed and manufactured in our own factory in the UK to ISO 9001.
Also included in MVHR range are the EVOs. These together with the Studio and Mini are for in-line installation and are suitable for homes, offices, hotels, care-homes etc. The models in the EVO range have summer bypass and frost protection, and the Studio and Mini are available without those options. All are commissioned via a remote LCD commissioning unit and manufactured in our own factory.
Vectaire also offers axial and centrifugal three and four speed dMEVS. These are single room, continuous running, extract fans providing continuous, low level ventilation to any room in the house, but are particularly suited for use in toilets, bathrooms, en-suite bathrooms, kitchens or utility rooms – anywhere where there is a likelihood of generating steam or odours. Depending on the fan chosen, they can be fitted into wall, ceiling or window; there is the option of a model with a centrifugal motor for those installations where a longer length of ducting is required.
Vectaire’s single room heat recovery unit, HREC1003, is a versatile unit (available in three tube lengths; can be rotated into four positions; incorporates a summer bypass and frost-stat) and has the added advantage of saving both money and heat. It has a 75% heat exchange efficiency.
