WFC Contractors – The Sky’s the Limit

Just a few of the WFC projects that sit high up on the City of London skyline.

Sky Garden

The prestigious ‘Sky Garden’ on levels 35, 36 and 37 of 20 Fenchurch Street, London for Rhubarb Ltd and 01 Creative – over 21 weeks this £3M project created two new restaurants on levels 36 and 37, with a new bar on level 35. Driven by our Site Manager, the project was delivered on time and to the highest quality.

BXR

A very prestigious and challenging project for WFC, working with Gardiner & Theobold and Bergman Design.  Located on the 25th floor, BXR City is the City of London’s highest gym and highest climbing wall.  To quote BXR – “Take your training to new heights!”

Aqua Shard and Hutong Shard

Panoramic views from Level 31 Aqua and Level 33 Hutong of the magnificent Shard. Working closely with Jestico & Whiles, the scope included an 89cover tea wing, and 66 seat gin wing and urinals with a view. The 130-cover restaurant was the first Hutong venue located outside of its native Hong Kong. These projects presented a logistical challenge, in particular with regards to delivery of materials, and also integration of services with the rest of the building. We responded by setting up a more comprehensive on-site management team to focus on these issues, and the restaurants opened on time.

Oxo Tower

A two-phase refurbishment of the reception, bar, restaurant and toilest at the OXO Tower, incorporating stunning curved white Corian bars with silver metallic tiled back fittings and matching reception counters with illuminated back screens. The restaurant and bar continued to trade during the project, so very careful planning and phasing was required to successfully carry out this design and build contract to exacting timescales.

Our aim is always to maintain good working relationships with the client and the whole Project Team.  We have an open, honest approach to business and understand the benefits of collaboration and planning early on in the project.
