Wykeham Mature Plants is one of the UK’s leading wholesale plant nurseries. Based in North Yorkshire, we supply mature trees, hedging and shrubs to architects, designers, developers, commercial landscapers and local authorities.
We are particularly renowned for our:
- instant hedging – especially our Wykeham Instant Laurel Blocks
- container grown deciduous trees
- screening plants, including a range of pleached trees

- guaranteed quality and service – we are registered with and conform to the Plant Healthy Certification Scheme.
Yorkshire-grown hardy trees, shrubs and hedging
Our plants, whether container-grown or our range of quality field-grown stock, are grown on our 60 hectare site on the Dawnay Estates in North Yorkshire.
Our nursery is in a frost pocket so you can be assured that our plants are fully hardy. As a member of the Plant Healthy certification Scheme, you can be confident that they are also free from imported pests and diseases.
A delivery option to suit you and your site
We can deliver our mature trees and shrubs across the UK. Influencing factors of course include timescales, size and weight of stock access issues on your site, and so on. Get in touch to discuss the most cost-effective delivery options for your order.
Pick our brains
As trained horticulturalists, we are passionate about growing healthy plants. We can offer advice to ensure the long-term success of your planting scheme, including:
- discussing options to help resolve planning and legislation issues
- choosing the right plants for your site
- scheduling for seasonal availability of different options/crops to help your contractors to plan ahead for smooth implementation at different stages rather than rushed planting at the end of the build
- our planting service and aftercare
For projects within 100 miles or so from the nursery, site visits can also be arranged.
