Pleated lights in pastel: The new S series from Gantlights

Share

Pleats and pastels regularly make a comeback in fashion. And these trends also cut a fine figure in the furnishing sector. The Berlin manufactory Gantlights by the architect Stefan Gant combines pleated and pastel with the new S series to create life-affirming and decorative lights.

The S-Series impresses with its fluted surfaces, which are modeled on the concave grooves of columns and pillars of Roman architecture. This creates a sophisticated aesthetic that takes up a delicately playful pleated look. The lights create a fascinating play of light and shadow that gives every room a carefree atmosphere.

Homage to the simple beauty of the architecture of past building eras

The “S” of the new series is derived from the Latin word “canna” for reed. The subtle but concise one

Groove surface developed in ancient Egypt from papyrus gels transferred into stone. Later, flutings were used primarily as a decorative motif for structuring columns in Greek, Roman and Neoclassical architecture.

Always well combined: 4 models in 5 mineral colors

The S1 hanging lamp with its slightly flared edges fits easily into various furnishing concepts and creates a relaxed ambience. The rotating ceiling spotlight S2 scores with targeted ceiling lighting for individual light control. This means that every room is optimally illuminated and can be adapted to suit your needs.

The S3 wall lamp also combines functionality and aesthetics. With light beams directed upwards and downwards, it creates atmospheric lighting and sets impressive accents on the wall. The pleated surface of the S4 pendant light, which is just over half a meter long, looks particularly different. It is perfect as an eye-catcher above a small desk or dining table.

The mineral colors of concrete and shadow gray, jade green, sandy yellow and coral red pick up on current trend nuances and offer many options for individually designing different rooms and creating a harmonious sphere. They can be arranged either tone-on-tone or deliberately in a colorful mix. Thanks to the clear geometric lines and the elegant pleated surfaces, they work harmoniously together even in colorful arrangements.
