Sapa’s Profile Academy for architects and designers

Sapa’s 2016 profile academy will present a wide range of information about aluminium from extraction to production. The academy is tailored towards architects and designers, who wish to gain a deeper understanding of aluminium principles, tooling design, fabrication, current applications and new technologies.

Over the day, attendees will meet Sapa experts and qualified external lecturers in a course that is designed to put ideas into motion and demonstrate how different applications can benefit from the use of aluminium.

The academy is aimed specifically at architects, designers and building consultants involved in design, development and manufacturing of products that use aluminium extrusions already or could benefit from integration with other inert materials, as well as key focus on sustainability, built in functionality for commercial and timeline advantages and surface treatments.

Keynote presenter, Michael Young is an Industrial Designer and over the past 20 years Michael Young has established himself as one of the leading international figures in his field continuing to push the boundaries of experimental design.
