The ‘Cast Iron Way’ to fight rising energy costs

Share

As the cost of gas and electricity continues to rise, it is now more important than ever to review your heating and hot water plant to see how you could save money and reduce your energy consumption.

This is the theme of Hamworthy’s ‘Cast Iron Tour’ that will be coming to a town near you, demonstrating how you can fight rising energy costs and save up to 35% on your gas bills.

Showcased in a bespoke roadshow vehicle is an old atmospheric boiler installation alongside a modern condensing boiler system. You can be taken on a tour through the two different systems, identify the faults and see where efficiency improvements can be made by upgrading boiler plant and improving controls.

Stuart Turner, southern regional sales manager enthused, “The idea behind the van is to entertain and educate customers on some of the most common pitfalls in commercial heating design. We can bring the products to you in our dedicated training vehicle, where our experts will be on hand to answer any questions and explain how energy savings can be made.”

Featured inside the van is the Purewell VariHeat cast iron condensing boiler. Designed and built at the Hamworthy factory in Poole, this is the UK’s most efficient condensing cast iron boiler and offers the perfect solution for refurbishment projects. Detailed schematic designs for a heating circuit, domestic hot water system and solar circuit will be displayed on the wall and you can discover how, with the right control strategies, you can vastly improve efficiencies in multiple boiler installations using Hamworthy’s Purewell VariHeat boiler.

Stuart added, “Visitors to the van will also have the opportunity to enter the ‘fault finding’ competition to be in with a chance of winning a cast iron wine rack and a case of wine to fill it!”
