Titon launches new high security door cylinder

With homeowners looking to increase the security of their properties, Titon has added the new Endure 3-Star anti-manipulation Euro profile door cylinder to its extensive range of hardware. The new product is BSI Kitemarked to the TS007 standard and has the maximum 3-Star security grade, in line with DHF (Door & Hardware Federation) and GGF (Glass & Glazing Federation) requirements.
The Endure 3-Star has a number of security features, including a sacrificial break slot, which is designed to snap off when forced – making the cylinder more difficult to grip if it is unlawfully tampered with. In addition, there is a hardened steel anti-snap protection cradle, complete with crumple zone feature. The product also benefits from a two-way safety cam boasting strengthened fixings.
Available in sizes ranging from 72mm to 110mm, the cylinder has a high security six-pin mechanism (with anti-bump modified upper and lower stainless steel inner pins) and comes complete with five keys as standard. As its names suggests, the Endure 3-Star has been designed to withstand methods favoured by burglars, including drilling, picking, bumping, snapping and plug extraction – the latter via a protected lower grub screw, shielding it from specialist tools.

The Endure 3-Star comes in a choice of finishes – satin nickel plate or polished brass – while offset cylinders and restricted profiles are also available. Products can be purchased as Double Cylinder, Cylinder and Turn, or Half Cylinder options, as well as Keyed Alike and Master key options.
